Yooung Dave Draper

The widest shoulders and back in the world at the time belonged to none other than Dave Draper.

Yipes, Stripes! Another Draper newsletter in my email. Hmmm…do I have time to read it?… do I wanna read it?… should I? Maybe I’ll come back to it later. What will the subject matter be this time? Another monthly split routine, achieving winter muscle mass, losing bodyfat in preparation for the spring, overcoming yet another growth plateau… gag. Why can’t I just take a pill… have a treatment… hire somebody… or fugitabodit?

Observations:

The coffee yesterday seemed to cause me to tighten up around midday yesterday. By this morning I was needing serious help. I was not so much congested as I was tight and dry. My inhalers were not helping in the least. I knew I needed to train to open my lungs, and I really needed to do abs, especially obliques. But I was putting it off. Such was the difficulty I was having.

Still, my will prevailed and I trained. I did exactly what my body was asking for. At the moment, my lungs are 50% better than they were even an hour ago.

Even though my breathing was initially the pits, I was still hefting some good weight as compared to last week. Strength went up in every movement. Pump was awesome.
