Partnering With a New Site for People With COPD

CPOD is such a huge problem in this world. Many people suffer with it. I am proud to be able to offer a site that hopefully gives encouragement to others who are managing this very difficult condition.

If you have COPD, then you know that chronic illness of this sort can be very discouraging at times. Sometimes it helps to talk to others who are dealing with some of the same challenges as you are. TPO is always looking for creative ways to make this site better. One of the things we do is partner with other sites that give support to people with chronic illness like COPD. TPO is therefore very excited about a new partnership of sorts.

A few days ago I was contacted by a representative from Breathing Better/Living Well. BBLW wanted to exchange links with TPO and I was eager to oblige the offer. Not only that, but I wanted to promote their book, “Breathe Better, Live in Wellness: Winning Your Battle Over Shortness of Breath“, written by Jane M. Martin, BA, CRT

In the coming days I will add BBLW to my affiliates section and also give BBLW a Spotlight page. I think that if the COPD community works together, some great things wil take place.

Thanks to everyone at BBLW, especially Kasey and Jane!

Thanks so much guys!

I am very happy to see that COPD awareness is increasing by leaps and bounds. I am particulary pleased when exercise for the disease is brought to the forefront. After I was diagnosed Doctors said I’d need a lung transplant to be able to have any quality to my life. I began a program of pulmonary rehab and almost immediatly felt better. As my condition improved I blended weight training into my aerobic workouts. My improvement was more rapid from that point on. I exercise every day for a minimum of 2 hours. I no longer use O2 24/7 and I am traveling and enjoying my life even with am FEV1 of only 16%.
