Metabolic Diet recently contacted me and informed me of a discount they are offering to visitors of this site. As I understand it, all you need to do in order to receive the discount is use the code listed at the bottom of this post in the News Flash. In fact, for now that “News Flash” will be on every page on this site. I think it sounds like a great deal. Don’t you?

Thanks MD+!

Shoulders, Back

  • Hammer Push/Press: Several Warm Sets followed by – 40 lbs x 8, 4 (no strength gain here, not really, but good nevertheless)
  • Side Dumbbell Lateral Raise: 25 lbs x 7, 6, 6, 6 (strict, controlled, resisted cheating)
  • Parallel Chins w/ Extra Weight: 22.5 lbs x 8F, 3F (good gain here; excellent strength
  • {Super-Set}
  • Dumbbell Cross Bench Pullovers: 55 lbs x 20 (elbows felt so much better! Increased weight by 5 lbs and added reps. By this method, I used chins to pre-exhaust the lats.), 15 (still had a few left maybe. Breathing Excellent!!!)

Observations:

Took another 3 day lay-off to tend to website and spiritual matters. Mentally, I was not in a great place. I have been somewhat burdoned for my country and headlines are just bringing me down. So, today I avoided them and decided to curb my browsing of the news.

My workout was excellent for the most part. I will come back tonight and do a few more things like neck and forearms and maybe abs.

My diet? OK I admit it, a tit mouse gets more food than I have had in the last 3 days. Sorry, but I am flat broke. Money is so tight. I suspect change is on the way. In the meantime, I am doing the best I can. Not sure how this is going to affect recovery and weight gain, but I guess we will find out soon enough.

Transfer To Host Gator Complete…Your Help Needed

Posted by webmaster On March - 22 - 2007

Whew.

Man alive. Upgrading from WordPress 2.07 to a later version is one thing. But moving an entire web directory from one web host to another is another ballgame altogether. It’s like going from tossing around one of those miniature inflatable footballs in your back yard to donning pads and a helmet and trying to skirt up the sidelines of a professional football field while avoiding full grown men the size of wheat silos.

OK I need to work on my metaphors. Anyway, here is what I need.

I need visitors to this site to check for errors. If you find any trouble spots, such as pages that will not load, images that are broken, dead links etc. email me at webmaster [@] totalphysiqueonline dot com or use our contact form located at http://totalphysiqueonline.com/contact/

Just give us the details of your error and we will fix it lick-kitty split!

Thank You!

PS: All of the errors and database timeouts I was having at Go Daddy are, for the moment at least, a thing of the past. The site seems to be loading twice as fast, and adding new posts and changes to the site is smooth and effortless. Kudos to the people at Host Gator for providing excellent performance and value. And a big fat raspberry to Go Daddy for offering such lousy database support.

Permament Move Upcoming and Other Nick-Nacks

Posted by webmaster On March - 21 - 2007

As many of my visitors will note, I have not trained since this past Sunday. In fact, I actually worked out legs on Sunday, but that workout (am awesome leg session) never made it to TPO because we had a 5-state Internet outage that included my state. I could not get online. In additon, I have been busy gearing up for a major move of this web site to Host Gator Hosting Servers.

Go Daddy Has Poor Service – Site Change Coming

Posted by webmaster On March - 16 - 2007

I have debated with the idea of switching hosting providers for some time. My primary reason for choosing GoDaddy to begin with was great prices they charged. However, if I had done my research I would have discovered that GoDaddy has a very poor reputation online. The money I have saved has been completely offset by the stress I have dealt with.

I regret choosing GoDaddy.

I have had nothing but problems with the quality of service at GoDaddy from the very beginning and their technical support, while polite and professional, has been unable to resolve most of the issues I was having, which has led to down time for this site, as well as slow loading times.

I have chosen to try Host Gator, as I have heard nothing but good things about them. I hope the transition is seamless. The plan is for there to be no down time or loss of data. However, in the event that you try to come back to this site and discover that there are issues, just bare with us. Hopefully, you will not even notice any changes, save for faster loading pages and a more reliable site.

Broken Hearted; Shattered Illusions

Posted by webmaster On March - 14 - 2007

As most of my visitors now know, I lost a hero the other day. In fact, many of us did. Brad Delp, of the super-group Boston, died this past Friday.

Naturally, I was overcome with grief upon learning of Brad Delp’s death. It took me several days to come to grips with the facts. My sadness at Brads passing was not due to the fact that I was a personal friend of his, for I wasn’t. I didn’t know the man personally. Yet, like many of you I had my “guitar hero’s” as a kid. I felt like I knew each one of them. Illusion can a powerful thing.

As a kid I looked up to rock musicians, perhaps foolishly, placing them on pedestals that most certainly should be reserved for people far more worthy of reverence than the dysfunctional lot of riff-raff usually found in the rock ‘n roll industry. However, in Brad’s case I suppose you could say that I struck pay dirt. For by all accounts, there was not a nicer guy in rock ‘n roll than Brad Delp. He seemed to be universally loved by his peers and as people go, he apparently was someone you could admire and look up to.

Calves, Back

  • One Legged Calve Raise: 100 lbs x 26, 26, 15, 12; Then Two Leg Calf Raise with 100 lbs x 40 reps (no rest between sets….one leg to the other…boom-boom-boom. Pump? Oh yeah…..substantial gains)
  • Parallel Chins w/ Extra Weight: 22.5 lbs x 4+1F, 3+1F
  • {Super-Set}

  • Dumbbell Cross Bench Pullovers: 50 lbs x 20 (elbows felt so much better! Increased weight by 5 lbs and added reps. By this method, I used chins to pre-exhaust the lats.), 20 (still had a few left maybe. Breathing Excellent!!!)
  • 1 Arm Bent Dumbbell Rows for Middle Back: 100 lbs x 5, 5 (strong)

(Second Workout) Shruggs, Biceps

  • Dumbbell Shruggs: 115 lbs x 20, 20 (this was heavy….whew!)
  • Seated Incline Dumbbell Curls: 30 lbs x 12 (wow), 8, 7
  • Dumbbell Hammer Curls: 30 lbs x 8 (inclines pre-exhausted biceps)

Observations:

I ate a bit better today, plus some oatmeal just before training and I felt very good and very strong with a TON of reserve left in the tank, as they say. When I was mentally telling that based on experience I should be petering out, I was able to bang out more reps than I expected. I lifted heavy and fast and tonight I may do another one.

I may have some writing on my mind. In fact, I know I do.
