Metabolic Diet recently contacted me and informed me of a discount they are offering to visitors of this site. As I understand it, all you need to do in order to receive the discount is use the code listed at the bottom of this post in the News Flash. In fact, for now that “News Flash” will be on every page on this site. I think it sounds like a great deal. Don’t you?
Thanks MD+!

Whew.
Man alive. Upgrading from Wordpress 2.07 to a later version is one thing. But moving an entire web directory from one web host to another is another ballgame altogether. It’s like going from tossing around one of those miniature inflatable footballs in your back yard to donning pads and a helmet and trying to skirt up the sidelines of a professional football field while avoiding full grown men the size of wheat silos.
OK I need to work on my metaphors. Anyway, here is what I need.
I need visitors to this site to check for errors. If you find any trouble spots, such as pages that will not load, images that are broken, dead links etc. email me at webmaster [@] totalphysiqueonline dot com or use our contact form located at http://totalphysiqueonline.com/contact/
Just give us the details of your error and we will fix it lick-kitty split!
Thank You!
PS: All of the errors and database timeouts I was having at Go Daddy are, for the moment at least, a thing of the past. The site seems to be loading twice as fast, and adding new posts and changes to the site is smooth and effortless. Kudos to the people at Host Gator for providing excellent performance and value. And a big fat raspberry to Go Daddy for offering such lousy database support.

As many of my visitors will note, I have not trained since this past Sunday. In fact, I actually worked out legs on Sunday, but that workout (am awesome leg session) never made it to TPO because we had a 5-state Internet outage that included my state. I could not get online. In additon, I have been busy gearing up for a major move of this web site to Host Gator Hosting Servers.

I have debated with the idea of switching hosting providers for some time. My primary reason for choosing GoDaddy to begin with was great prices they charged. However, if I had done my research I would have discovered that GoDaddy has a very poor reputation online. The money I have saved has been completely offset by the stress I have dealt with.
I regret choosing GoDaddy.
I have had nothing but problems with the quality of service at GoDaddy from the very beginning and their technical support, while polite and professional, has been unable to resolve most of the issues I was having, which has led to down time for this site, as well as slow loading times.
I have chosen to try Host Gator, as I have heard nothing but good things about them. I hope the transition is seamless. The plan is for there to be no down time or loss of data. However, in the event that you try to come back to this site and discover that there are issues, just bare with us. Hopefully, you will not even notice any changes, save for faster loading pages and a more reliable site.

As most of my visitors now know, I lost a hero the other day. In fact, many of us did. Brad Delp, of the super-group Boston, died this past Friday.
Naturally, I was overcome with grief upon learning of Brad Delp’s death. It took me several days to come to grips with the facts. My sadness at Brads passing was not due to the fact that I was a personal friend of his, for I wasn’t. I didn’t know the man personally. Yet, like many of you I had my “guitar hero’s” as a kid. I felt like I knew each one of them. Illusion can a powerful thing.
As a kid I looked up to rock musicians, perhaps foolishly, placing them on pedestals that most certainly should be reserved for people far more worthy of reverence than the dysfunctional lot of riff-raff usually found in the rock ‘n roll industry. However, in Brad’s case I suppose you could say that I struck pay dirt. For by all accounts, there was not a nicer guy in rock ‘n roll than Brad Delp. He seemed to be universally loved by his peers and as people go, he apparently was someone you could admire and look up to.

I was not sure how to title this post. I was not sure whether to write it at all. After all, this site is about fitness, health, overcoming challenges, maximizing your potential and so many other things. This is not a site about Rock ‘n Roll. But that doesn’t matter, because on 03-10-07 the world woke up only to discover it had lost one if the greatest signature voices in all of music just the day before. Brad Delp, the lead singer of Boston, unexpectedly left us.
I cannot bring myself to say, “Brad Delp, Lead Singer of Boston, Dead at 55″. I just can’t.

I am a proud owner of an Apple PowerMac G4 Laptop. I have had the thing for nearly two years and have loved every minute of it. Apple is a great company with terrific products that are worth every penny. In fact, I doubt seriously I will ever own a Windows product every again and I cannot recommend Apple’s products strongly enough. However, I recently ran into a snag with Apple Inc. that, although it was resolved quickly and amicably, was nevertheless most disconcerting. Due to the nature of the problem I felt the urge to relate my experience to any Apple users visiting my site. In truth, Apple left me no choice in the matter.

This video is just more evidence that weightlifting can be dangerous.
As you can see, the weight is cleaned without much trouble. However, when using the split technique, as this lifter does, one must take special care. Your body is in a very vulnerable position and the legs must be phenomenally strong to prevent the catastrophe you see below.
Once he presses the weight overhead, his rear-most leg buckles and his frontt-most leg looses a foothold. Ouch! He is lucky to be alive.
